Experience in
LGBTQIA+ Counselling

I am a graduate of a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy as well a provisional psychologist. I work with LGBTQIA+ individuals at various life stages. I also understand how sexuality interacts with racial and cultural influences and work confidentially with clients at this intersection. My work with LGBTQIA+ individuals addresses the many parts of self-identity and personal roles and how these impact emotional well-being. I work with clients toward creating attainable personal resilience and preferred emotional and mental health outcomes.

Areas of Experience

I have worked with adult LGBTQIA+ individuals across areas of anxiety, depression, loss, trauma, substance dependency behaviours, workplace challenges, and life changes. I’ve helped clients with existential sexual identity issues, navigating relationships, navigating fitting in, and the associated mental health outcomes which come with these challenges. My future direction is to specialise in couples counselling (especially for mixed-race couples) and will extend to consensual non-monogamous relationships.
