Sandra holds a Master of Applied Psychology (Clinical) and a Graduate Certificate in Grief, Loss and Trauma Counselling. Her research explored trauma, dissociation, and voice hearing, and she has a special interest in trauma, grief, and attachment. Sandra has completed training in a range of trauma-focused therapies and values creating a safe, collaborative space for healing. She has worked across diverse clinical and community settings, including roles in case management and advocacy with refugees, people seeking asylum, and women and children escaping family violence. Sandra also has experience in crisis response and helpline services, including LGBTQIA+ specific support. She has facilitated Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) groups and provided individual therapy in public health settings, supporting people with complex mental health challenges.
Sandra has extensive experience working with neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD, autism, and other neurodevelopmental differences. As a neurodivergent person herself, she is passionate about providing neurodivergent-affirming therapy. She continues to engage in ongoing learning to stay informed about emerging research in this rapidly evolving field.
